Parlay betting is one of the more popular ways to wager on games in sports gambling. A parlay is when a bettor makes bets on two or more point spreads, over/unders or money lines, and if all win, he or she will be in line for a bigger payout. However, if even one of the bets lose, the parlay does not pay out.
While the parlay bet is harder to win, it is also a much more lucrative proposition. Most of the time, a two-bet parlay will pay out at plus-260, while a three-bet parlay usually pays out at plus-600. Therefore, if a bettor wagers $100 and correctly parlays a three-team bet, it would pay out with a $600 profit.
If the three bets were done individually, the profit would be about half as much. However, if two of the three bets won individually, it would be a net profit for the bettor. In parlay betting, though, two out of three would not win any money
